向明，女，博士，教授，博士研究生导师。
中国药理学会理事，中国药学会应用药理专业委员会委员，
中国抗炎免疫药理学会委员，湖北省药理学会常务理事，
世界中医药免疫专业委员会常务理事。
研究方向：抗炎免疫药理学，主要包括：研究基于天然免疫与获得性免疫相关联的自身免疫性疾病（T1D，RA，AIH等）及慢性炎症（胰腺炎、肝纤维化和胰岛素抵抗）发病机制；研究基于表观遗传和细胞代谢的免疫细胞功能转化机制；研究抗肿瘤免疫治疗的方式及机制；研究化学及中药新型免疫抑制剂的作用及机制。
科研经历：
2010年赴美国佐治亚医学院从事抗炎免疫抑制剂药理作用研究。
2004年至2005年赴德国海德堡大学从事抗HCV感染基因疫苗及树突状细胞分化及功能研究。
1997年至1999年赴意大利CATANIA大学从事自身免疫病发病和细胞因子抗体的作用及机制研究。
